Terms of service
These terms apply when an employer or authorised representative buys and submits a vacancy advert to Jobs in Derry, operated by Thomas Patrick Recruitment.

1. Our service
Jobs in Derry provides paid vacancy advertising. Standard adverts are displayed for 30 days; Featured adverts receive priority placement for 30 days; Urgent adverts receive top placement and promotion through the Jobs in Derry Facebook community. We may make minor edits for clarity, layout and consistency without changing the meaning of the role.
2. Placing an advert
An order is submitted when you send the vacancy form and pay the stated package price. Publication remains subject to review. You confirm that you are authorised to advertise the role and that all information supplied is accurate, current and lawful.
3. Advert standards
Adverts must describe a genuine vacancy and must not be misleading, discriminatory, unlawful, offensive or infringe another person’s rights. We may ask for evidence, request changes, pause or reject an advert that does not meet these standards. If we reject a paid advert before publication, we will provide a full refund.
4. Publication and duration
We aim to review submissions promptly, but we do not promise a specific publication time. The 30-day advertising period begins when the vacancy is first published. Employer-requested changes that substantially alter the role may require a new advert.
5. Applications and results
Candidates apply using the contact route supplied by the employer. Jobs in Derry is not a party to any employment relationship and does not verify, recommend or guarantee any applicant. We do not guarantee a number of applications, interviews or hires.
6. Price and payment
Prices shown at checkout are the total price charged for the selected package unless stated otherwise. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. You are responsible for checking that the correct package is selected before payment.
7. Cancellations and refunds
Our Refund Policy forms part of these terms. Nothing in these terms limits any statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Content licence
You retain ownership of material you supply. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to edit, reproduce and display it as needed to provide and promote the purchased advert, including the Facebook promotion included in the Urgent package.
9. Liability
We are not liable for hiring decisions, candidate conduct or indirect business losses. Our total liability connected with an advert will not exceed the amount paid for that advert. Nothing excludes liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded.
10. Changes, law and contact
We may update these terms for future orders. The version accepted when you order applies to that order. These terms are governed by the laws of Northern Ireland and disputes are subject to the courts of Northern Ireland.
